The fine print, kept short.

1. Who we are

LoopCam is made and operated by Kalkidan Bekalu Aleme, doing business as Tibeb Labs, Chicago, Illinois, United States ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support.loopcam@tibeblabs.com.

2. Your license to use LoopCam

LoopCam is proprietary software. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use LoopCam on Macs that you own or control. The free tier is free for personal and commercial use, forever.

You may not:

• redistribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the app or any part of it;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app, except where applicable law expressly permits it despite this term;
• remove or circumvent the license mechanism, or use a key you did not buy or were not given by us.

3. LoopCam Pro purchases

LoopCam Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro features described on the Pro page. Sales are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, which means your purchase contract for the transaction is with Paddle, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the checkout.

• Your license key arrives by email after purchase. Keep it somewhere safe, and keep it to yourself.
• The license is per person: activate it on your own Macs, with no activation limit and no account. It is not a site license and may not be shared, published, or resold.
• We may invalidate keys that are leaked publicly, resold, or obtained through fraud or chargeback abuse in future versions of the app.
• "One-time" means what it says: no subscription, and the features your key unlocks stay unlocked.

4. Refunds

All sales are final. A license key works offline, forever, and cannot be meaningfully returned, so we do not offer refunds. Try the free tier first: it is the same app, and every Pro feature is listed on the Pro page before you buy. Paddle, as merchant of record, may still issue a refund in cases such as fraud or duplicate purchases, or where mandatory consumer law requires one; those are handled under Paddle's buyer terms. If a purchase is refunded for any reason, your right to use LoopCam Pro ends: you must remove the license key from the app, and future versions of the app may not accept it.

5. Acceptable use — and your responsibility

LoopCam controls how you appear on your camera. What you do with that is your call, and your responsibility. By using LoopCam you agree that:

• You will comply with the laws that apply to you, including recording-consent laws where relevant.
• You will comply with the rules of the platforms and organizations you use LoopCam with (meeting software terms, workplace policies, streaming platform rules, and the like).
• You will not use LoopCam to commit fraud, to impersonate another person, or to cheat in proctored exams, assessments, or interviews.
• You accept that we are not responsible for consequences that follow from how you choose to present yourself, professionally, socially, or contractually.

LoopCam is built for graceful presence, not deception that harms others. We reserve the right to refuse support, and to terminate licenses, for uses that violate this section.

6. The software, as it actually is

• LoopCam installs a macOS camera extension and, optionally, an audio driver. Both require your explicit approval in System Settings, and both can be removed.
• We do not guarantee that a looped feed is undetectable, that LoopCam works with every app, or that macOS updates will never break something. We fix what we can, when we can.
• We may update, change, or discontinue the app or any feature. Because licenses are verified on your Mac and the app works offline, a discontinued LoopCam keeps running as-is on the system it's installed on.

7. Intellectual property

The app, this website, the LoopCam name and logo, and all related materials are owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. All rights reserved. Content you create with LoopCam (your recordings) is yours entirely.

8. No warranty

LoopCam is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities, arising from your use of (or inability to use) LoopCam. Our total liability for any claim relating to LoopCam is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim (which, for the free tier, is zero).

10. Termination

Your license ends automatically if you materially breach these terms. You can end it any time by deleting the app. Sections 7 through 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the state and federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, except where the consumer protection law of your place of residence gives you rights and venues that cannot be waived. Purchases are additionally governed by Paddle's buyer terms as described in section 3.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the effective date updated above. Material changes to purchase terms won't apply retroactively to licenses already bought.
